Our latest e-mobility study is based on partner impressions, research, and a survey conducted with the participation of over 1,500 motorists. The data collected provides a comprehensive view of domestic and international trends in electric mobility, as well as the evolving habits of businesses and private users. Below, we’ve summarised the most important facts and highlights!
Electric mobility is rapidly developing in Hungary, increasingly shaping transportation trends. Electric vehicles already account for 2-2.5% of the total vehicle fleet, with a significant growth rate, thanks in part to the pivotal role of companies. Businesses purchase 80% of newly registered electric vehicles, as electrification is a crucial step towards achieving their sustainability goals (e.g., ESG efforts) and cost-reduction objectives. This shift is evident not only in car purchasing but also in usage habits.
In addition to home charging, workplace and public charging stations are playing an increasingly important role. This trend is particularly noticeable among those living in apartment buildings, who are 1.5 times more likely to prefer workplace charging than EV owners in detached houses. The charging options provided by companies not only support sustainability but also adapt to the changing mobility habits where flexibility and easy access are key.
