Creating a sustainable, efficient workplace environment today means more than just the physical design or location of an office building. Digital parking solutions, green mobility, and eco-conscious operations are now key factors in shaping modern office experiences. As part of the CPI Hungary property portfolio, River Estates sets a strong example of how innovative digital parking management systems can enhance comfort, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

The strategic partnership established in 2024 between CPI and Parkl has brought a new perspective to office mobility in Hungary. The aim of this collaboration is to create a unified, user-friendly system for parking management and electric vehicle (EV) charging services across CPI’s entire domestic office portfolio – a total of 21 office buildings. An office is no longer just a physical space, but a package of services that must adapt flexibly to hybrid working, changing employee habits, and companies’ increasingly complex sustainability objectives.
'At River Estates, our goal is to harmonise modern office demands with environmental awareness and sustainable urban living. Thanks to intelligent solutions and a comprehensive range of services, our tenants aren’t just renting office space , they’re choosing a smarter lifestyle,' said Berenike Csepke, Senior Property Manager at CPI Hungary.
The previously used anti-passback based system in the building no longer fully met modern expectations, so in March 2025, the implementation of Parkl Office began.
The more than 21,000-square-metre, ten-storey office building has an underground car park with 357 spaces, currently used daily by nearly 355 active users. Tenant companies can manage their own parking quotas independently, allowing employees working in other CPI buildings to move between office locations – supporting the all-around mobility concept. Entry is made even smoother by Parkl’s licence plate recognition system. The biggest advantage of digital parking is that it makes office parking more transparent and convenient, while significantly reducing administrative burdens. Tenants at River Estates include companies such as dm, Digi, Danone, and Life1 Fitness Club – all of whom now benefit from a simpler daily commute.
The collaboration between CPI and Parkl is not only about modernising parking but also about promoting sustainable transport. In the near future, the building will be equipped with EV chargers, enabling employees to commute to work not only digitally but in an environmentally friendly manner. This modernisation also complements the building’s other green initiatives: BREEAM Very Good and Access4you certifications, energy-efficient LED lighting, electricity sourced from renewable energy, and spacious indoor gardens and communal areas all aim to make River Estates not just an office building, but a truly liveable workplace.
